Our stories and activities are targeted for children ages 3 – 5 (as of 9/1/14)Picture1. Older or younger children are welcome to use other library facilities outside the STORYTIME ROOM while STORYTIME is in session.

For your child’s comfort & safety, we require that a parent or adult guardian remain in the
library during STORYTIME. We encourage you to use your child’s time in STORYTIME
as your library time as well. Please feel free to use this time to relax with a magazine, check your e-mail, “surf the net” or visit with other parents.

STORYTIME is an “I can do it myself!” program. Parents are encouraged to leave their child with the Children’s Librarian for STORYTIME. If you feel your child would be more comfortable with you in the STORYTIME ROOM (and you have no other children in your care), you are welcome to stay during the first session. Please be considerate of the children and the storyteller by keeping conversation to a minimum.

We want this to be a fun and educational time for your child. If you or your child have an idea
for a future STORYTIME, please be sure to share it with the Children’s Librarian!

If Augusta U.S.D. 402 cancels classes (for example, weather) STORYTIME will also be cancelled.  Check our Facebook page (Augusta Public Library Kids), our website or call 775-2681 if in doubt.

To reserve your child’s place please stop by the Children’s Room or call 775-2681.
