Learn How to Write a Novel

    Ask questions, get tips, and start your novel! Susanne Lambdin will lead the author’s panel. Authors Jared Vaughn, Audra Crebs, Tracy Edingfield, will also be at the event. Pizza will be served at the event as well.

    Susanne Lambdin is the Author of the Dead Hearts and the Realm of Magic book series.

    The Library is hosting a Sci-Fi writing contest this summer, and this author panel is a great way to get started!

    A little about the authors in this panel.

    Susanne L. Lambdin is the author of the Dead Hearts series, and The Realm of Magic trilogy, among other published works. Graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Journalism in Professional, she moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1980s to work at Paramount Pictures to further her writing career. She received a ‘based in part’ screen credit for Star Trek: The Next Generation: Season 4, Episode 76, entitled ‘Family’. Annually, she often attends sci-fi and horror conventions throughout the United States, as well as book signings, public appearances, or podcasts. Living in Kansas with her family and two dogs, her second home is in Colorado, where the Dead Hearts series is based.

    A. R. Crebs is the writer and illustrator of the Esoteric Design series. A native to Kansas, Crebs dove into the creative world at a young age. Her passion for gaming and creating characters led her to pursue an art career, taking art classes throughout her academic life leading to her attendance at the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design where she received a BFA in illustration/children’s book specialization. With experience in graphic design, formatting, illustration, and writing, Crebs creates and designs everything for her novel series while working freelance on the side. The Esoteric Design is a sci-fi/fantasy novel series with chapter illustrations.

    Jared Vaughn is the author of the acclaimed novel The Longest Time. It’s a nostalgic story about a unique boy named Charlie, whose love for his childhood friend Lisa leads him to fulfill a heroic purpose. Readers of all ages have unanimously agreed that they “can’t put it down,” and are eagerly awaiting the sequel, Another Time. He loves to encourage dreamers in his writing workshops and panels at comic cons and libraries, with a special emphasis on the youth. Jared’s vision extends beyond The Longest Time series with his company, Time Honored Productions.

    Tracy Edingfield graduated from the University of Kansas, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with Distinction. Later she graduated from the School of Law at KU with a Juris Doctorate Degree. Throughout her lengthy legal career, Ms. Edingfield has been a public defender, prosecutor, litigator, and mediator. Her practice primarily focused on divorce work before she retired early to write Historical Romances and Middle-Grade Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels. Ms. Edingfield is an Amazon Best Selling Author. She lives near Wichita, Kansas, with her husband and children.
